Have to say my experience was not quite as good as it could have been. The brewery is in a refurbished warehouse, really nice space. Part of the issue I had was they had plenty of open tables when I arrived but had a huge line waiting to be seated. Not really sure why there were so many people waiting with plenty of tables available.

The menu was very good. The fried pickles were excellent. The chicken bayou was one of the best brewpub entrees I have ever had. And that is not mention they are most known for their burgers and wood fire pizza. So worth it just to try the food.

The beer situation was another story. They only sell samplers if you buy 6. They were out of 3 of the 6 beers we wanted to try, so we just ordered pints. The stout was decent and the homemade root beer was actually very good. But left disappointed since they didn't have many of their beers available.

Was in the area and finally had a chance to go to Cannon Brew Pub. It is located in the downtown revitalized area of Columbus in a building with a lot of character. I had a flight of their beers. I was pleased that the flight came with a cheat sheet so that I could read about the offerings. I normally am a dark beer person but the best beers offered by Cannon are their lighter selections. I especially liked the Goldens' Ale and the Special 'Ops IPA. Their flagship Red Jacket and the Sledgehammer Stout are OK but if you are only having one beer go with the IPA. They also include a root beer on the flight and a seasonal. My bride said the root beer was the best she had ever had. The food was good but nothing special. The service was great and helpful. Cannon Brew Pub is definitely worth the trip.

This place is really good! The food is excellent, we have never had anything bad there. The pizza is very good and you must get fried pickles for an appetizer. It is located downtown and is family friendly. The atmosphere appeals to families, young adults and the like. It's in a neat, old building with a lot of history and character. The beer is amazing! They brew many different kinds (I think it is around 6 or so) and usually have a seasonal brew as well.
