The Elephant and Castle is located below street grade. It has an attractive entrance of red stone, black wrought iron, old style lighting a British phone booth and some plants. Part of this area doubles as a patio.

Inside there is a pressed tin ceiling and lots of dark wood, brick, plaster and plants. Mellow soft/modern rock on the sound system and a decent sized crowd that was also mellow.....

The dinning room on your left the bar area is straight ahead. The large T shaped bar seats 25 plus. The "top" of the T includes a massive bar back with all the top line liquor bottles on display.

They offer a decent tap list that is heavy on UK and PNW options. 18 total choices. They also offer about 30 bottles with at least 15 being interesting selections. The tap choices include a rotating seasonal and an IPA.

Service is professional but not overly chatty. I did not try the food this time. Beer are priced from $5.50 to $6.50 for 20 oz imperial pints.

Worth a stop, I think this place could be fun and its large enough to handle a good sized group.
