This is pretty much your standard stamped out "Irish"-esque pub. The same old taps you'll find at any of these places including: Guinness, Harp, Bass, Newcastle, Sam Adams, Sam Seasonal (woohoo!), Sine’ Irish Red, blah, blah, blah. What "Irish bar" would be complete w/o Killian’s Red, Miller Lite, Smithwick’s, Amstel Light, Bud Light...you get the idea. It's a decent place to sit outside in good weather, and I know a number of local intramural sports teams stop in here after games or to watch the screens. A beer bar though? Hmmm, checking their website and they have an entry for "drinks," if that's any clue. It's really a sportsbar with Irish tchotkes. I've been here maybe 5-6 times since it's sometimes convenient, but also cause there's nothing else in the area. It certainly should not be considered among the top 10 beer bars in the DC/Baltimore area.

Although listed as an Irish Pub, this is more of a sports bar. They have a decent selection of brews, but the bar itself is more of a Sports Pub layout--not that that's bad!
The food is decent ... I liked the Shepherd's Pie -- and the burgers are excellent. The beer selection is average to above average. Just a great spot to hang out, especially after work if you work in the Pentagon. Easy access to the Metro as well.
