linkThis popular beer bar just re-opened only a few blocks away from its former location. After being closed for well over a year, they've re-created the former pub in a new upscale, modern location that still boasts a wide variety of US craft and imported brews on 33 taps. (Unfortunately, they were already down several blown taps when I visited). The long double sided bar dominates the center of the seating area with additional table seating on one side and at both ends. There is a multi-page tap-book but I missed seeing the colorful chalkboard tap-list. In the coming months, Bent Tail Brewery will begin on-site operation of a new micro-brewing system that is already installed on the far end of the bar. The food menu includes both new and several familiar gastropub offerings; appetizers, salads, sandwiches and small plates. Paid parking is available in the Keauhou Lane retail shops garage. While validation is provided, it did not fully cover a short drinks and appetizer visit. Also, midweek service was pretty slow. Hopefully, the rough spots will smooth out as the new venue gets up to speed and the brew system become operational.
