Standard Tap is located in Philly's Northern Liberties neighborhood, which has several places to eat and drink within walking distance. Parking is free or metered along the streets, and will be very challenging at peak hours. Standard Tap has an impressive selection of craft beers, and a very tasty food menu. The public house decor and intricate multi-roomed architecture is inviting, and the woodwork is impressive. In addition to the downstairs bar, there is also a 14-chair upstairs bar. Upstairs there is also a multi-tiered roof-covered patio. This popular tavern is cozy and can be somewhat crowded. The service is good, and the food is great, but pricey. The beer selection includes about 20 beers on tap, all craft beers from the PA-DE-NJ tristate area. The beers include robust seasonals and limited releases, and there's always something new on tap. Nice.

Standard Tap is a great find. The beer selection is great, all local brews. The food equals the beer. Standard Tap is in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia and it is easy to get to by subway, the Spring Garden station. We go to Philadelphia a few times a year and Standard Tap is always on our agenda. I do not think you could find a better gastropub in the city.

This place has a great neighborhood bar feel to it. I guess because it is a great neighborhood bar. Stroll in in the late morning hours and you could easily catch yourself strolling out hours later. If we did not have an aggressive schedule of bars to visit on our Philly weekend, I would have been happy spending the day at the downstairs bar. Great tap list (all from breweries within 90 mile radius I believe), great food menu, and friendly people. A recommended stop for sure.

A must see when your in Philly, or a great place to hang out if your a local. They serve an always changing line up of some of the best local craft breweries in our area. Their food menu is always changing as well with creative twists on everyday dishes while using fresh and local ingredients. There is outdoor seating available upstairs. Since they do not have their own parking lot it can be a hassle as you are in the city.
