This is Planet 8's favorite place to go. Great beers, people, and atmosphere. We always have had a great time while visiting. The taps are always clean and beer comes out tasting like the day it was kegged. Never a serious bad experience there, except sometimes being so busy it's hard to get the attention of the bartender, but it never takes that long. Great events too, like Friday the Firkinteenth and the celebration of Groundhog's Day make it not just unique, but something special.

I've been going to the Grey Lodge regularly since the first year they opened (as the Grey Lodge), and the growth has been spectacular. What was once a mingey but friendly dive bar with some good beer has turned into a phenomenon. The beer is an ever-changing offering of local, regional, and distant delights, both draft and bottle/can. The atmosphere is engaging and friendly: I've made solid friends here. Great whiskey selection, delicious and diverse bar food -- from cheesesteaks to Thai curry mussels -- darts, an Internet juke, and events like Friday the Firkinteenth -- a wild cask ale event every Friday the 13th -- make the Grey Lodge much more than just another beer bar.

The Grey Lodge has a great selection of beer both upstairs and down. The list the beers on their website and keep it up to date. When I was there last I was able to try at least four beers that I have not been able to find anywhere else. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. If you are looking for a place to go try new beers in a not so crowded bar, try The Grey Lodge. Food here is great. I highly recommend checking out this place.
