linkThe Bards is a typical Irish bar and restaurant, with public house decor. The service is adequate, and the food is pub fare plus mussels (not unusual in Philly). There are many dining tables and a couple of dart boards. There is a 16-stool wooden bar, stocked with 18 beers on tap and an average selection of Irish whiskeys. The beer selection contains an equal mix of typical bar standards, domestic and imports, plus common regional craft beers. Several flat screen televisions behind the bar carry sporting events. It is a friendly pub, but nothing stood out as especially charming about this place. The atmosphere is a little loud and completely casual.
