The drive from Frisco to Breckenridge is beautiful, surrounded by steep hills, colorful trees, and a scenic mountain lake. Breckenridge is a popular small city with a main street lined with numerous 2-story shops and places to eat. The Breckenridge brewpub is a large 2-story building, with limited parking in front, and more around back. On the right end of the building is a small wooden deck patio with several umbrella tables surrounded by a black metal fence. Over the center entrance is a small 2nd story patio area. Inside, there are plenty of dining tables on both the right and left ends of the building, as well as upstairs. In the center is a 16-chair marble topped bar with corrugated steel sides. Behind the bar is the old brewhouse where Breckenridge Brewery got its start. It has stainless steel brewing vessels in front of a row of 5 tall, skinny stainless steel fermenters. Their main production facility is now in Littleton, supporting their expanded distribution, but they still brew small batches at the original brewpub. A large board above the bar lists their 8 beers on tap, which can all be tried on a sampler flight. 5 of these were brewed here, and the other 3 were their most popular flagship ales. Near the entrance is a refrigerator case with bottles of their beer for sale to go. The staff is courteous and fast. Their nice food menu consists of appetizers, salads, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and a few meat and poultry dinner entrees. There are a couple televisions for news or sports, and good background rock music is playing. The floor is wooden and the walls are decorated with brewery artwork and mountain pictures. The place has a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere.

I went to this Brew Pup during the GABF in 2008. It has kind of a rustic bar atmosphere and is very open. It has a large bar theat is well stocked and a good amount of memorabilia for sale like shirts and hats and stuff. the beers were good, the ESB was nice and seemed to have a slight hint of Belgian type ale yeast. the IPA was good as well and I did not have a taster like I usually do as they were busy and I was in a hurry.. I had Fish and chips to eat which were good but not great. the wait staff were all friendly and I got some cool coaters. Worth the visit if you are in the area

This was the first brewpub I ever visited way back in the day. Probably '92 or '93. It is a mandatory stop when in Summit County Co.

Afternoon visit in the slow season (late Sept - Oct) is great. Sit at the bar and have a couple of pints. During ski season it can get busy and hard to find a seat.

Beers are good. Oatmeal Stout on the patio on a sunny autumn afternoon looking at the mountains. Ahhhhh......

Two visits, one during peak ski season and one during the summer, confirm that this is a good choice. In Breckenridge, many restaurants cater to visitors, with little hope of repeat business, so bringing in the people once is all that matters. This place seems to have local fans, and the food and beer are solid.

I had the seasonal wheat beer. Nothing extraordinary, but good. They have a pretty good selection of beers.

The menu is pretty typical of a brewpub, again nothing extraordinary, but good.

Parking is always an issue in Breck. There is plenty of parking available within a few minutes walk, including several spaces right out front, but in peak (ski) season it may take some searching to find a space close. Summit Stage, the free bus service in Summit County, is a option but there is again a bit of a walk from the nearest stop to the brewpub.
