This place is so weird, I love it. I discovered this odd gem on the beermapping site when I was looking for a place to have lunch while working in the area. Old World is nestled in a constructed "authentic" German village/ theme park. To enter the bar you walk through a German/East Euro grocery store which is full of great treats to pick up on the way out. The bar itself is awesome, no one is ever there (as long as you're not there during the summer months), they give you the remote for the tv, there is always a real german frau working the bar, it's very dark and it looks like it was decorated by a deranged germanophile in the mid 1970s. Pot roast, spatzel and some sauerkraut is my go dish and although they do offer many fine german brews and a few local ones, I always have a tall Franziskaner. I couldn't say that this is the best german restaurant or bar, but it might be the strangest.
