Under the Rose brewing company....another of the newer Reno breweries with a tasting room. I bet this place gets hot when it's hot outside. The first beer was their hellesbeer, this is a moderately hopped beer with some slight toastyness, very clear and a good beer. The next beer was the saison, tart wheat and spice aroma, a lite beer mouthfeel wise with a lite delicate flavor, this is a good lite farmhouse style beer with some malt sweetness, lite for style, but a solid beer. By the way, tasters here are 5oz and full....6 beers for $13. The next beer was the British beer, this beer has an earthy aroma and taste, moderate crystal malt and hop flavor, not my favorite style but this is a good beer for style...could use a little more hop aroma and flavor. The next beer was their American style pale ale, this is a malty pale ale with enough hops to balance and the best beer I had so far. The next beer was their Porter, this is a rye Porter, important to note.....not a porter but a good beer for its style....the last beer was their English style barleywine, lite color and low hop aroma, a good beer, not overly hoppy, but a good malt base and true to English style barleywine. Great hospitality from Scott, growlers some bottled beers, t shirts but no coasters.
