Boston's Publick House is famous for its excellent craft beer selection and its wonderful food. It is located in a long strip of one story buildings, with a small sidewalk area in front with wooden picnic tables. Parking is metered along the street. Inside the place is divided into several rooms with a split level architecture. On the left is the upper bar room with 12 chairs at the bar and several tables. Likewise, the center room has 12 chairs at the bar and several more tables. The large wooden bar has two sides, each serving a different room, with a wall of craft beer bottles and liquors on the divider wall. The third lower room on the right is dedicated to dining. The place is very dim with orange and yellow lighting from many soft candle style bulbs. Good music provides good background ambience. The floors are wooden and the walls are wood and painted drywall. There is an abbey motif in their decor, and this is Boston's premiere bar for Belgian ales. They have an excellent offering of about three dozen craft beers on tap, as well as a couple hundred in bottles. Their food menu consists of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, mussels, and European influenced meat and seafood entrees. And their customizable mac & cheese is notoriously delicious. It is a popular place, and it seems they have not exactly handled that popularity well, as I've read several comments about their poor customer service. In my experience too, the service was mediocre when the hostess was needlessly strict about not letting us sit at one of the several unused picnic tables out front, unless everyone in the party was ordering dinner. Anyway, the bars are first come first serve and we were able to order drinks and apps easily enough. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fast, and their food and drinks are worth a visit.

Located right off the green line (C-Train) which is probably the preferred transporation option since parking can be hard to find and isn't free (parking meters). The PH is located in a nice area of the Boston vacinity along apartment buildings and shops. Off Beacon St., which is one of the main streets in the area.

The interior toward the back is somewhat dark. There is a bar near the entrance and a good amount of seating. The walls are covered with posters and memorabilia for The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. A waitress expalained to me that the owner has a *slight* obsession with the band.

A huge selection of any type of beer you want. The draught list is pretty lengthy, but the bulk of the selection is in the bottles. The glasses are served at a good temperature with the correct glassware. Prices for beer are reasonable, and the food is somewhat pricey. There is a mix of food from the usual pub plates to "fancier" meals. The food is good though, that's for sure.

This is probably one of the main places to visit while you're in Boston. Come early because the place fills up quick. I will certainly make another trip here if I can.
