Christopher's is conveniently located across from the Porter Square shopping center. It's easy to get to by the T, and you can park in the shopping center rather easily. The beer selection is second to RebBones in the Porter/Davis area, but the food is a bit better in my opinion. The atmosphere is generally pretty laid back, with very nice pub style food. There are two parts, the downstairs, and upstairs. The downstairs bar has a few TVs with games on, while the rest of the restaurant is TV-free.

There is generally a nice rotating draft list, and some bottles available. The beers are always served correctly in proper glassware, and at proper temperature. The draft selection usually has something I'm interested in, and sometimes a couple of beers I've never heard of. Most of the beers seem to be regional, and seasonal, which is very nice. If you happen to get seated upstairs, take a look at the draft menu, and then ask for the downstairs menu. They have different selections. The beer downstairs is generally fresher, and has nearly twice the selection. I'm not sure why they do that.

The wait staff can be hit or miss with beer knowledge, but the downstairs bartenders always know what the beers are like. They are willing to sample beers for you if you are unsure about a selection. With some of the experimental selections, I would suggest doing this. The food is quite good, and the weekend brunch is very nice. They have good specials that change frequently as well. I would suggest going to Christopher's for the food first, and the beer second, but you should easily be able to find something good on draft.
