As of 2014, Tuscaloosa is home to two breweries - Black Warrior and Druid City. Druid City is located in a one-story beige brick building with their red sign and crescent moon logo on the wall. There is ample parking in the shopping complex in which they are located. Out front are a few wooden picnic tables and a corn hole game, and there is a red awning over the entrance. Inside the small tasting room is an 8-chair wooden bar. A whiteboard lists their 5 house beers on tap. The beer is served from two kegerators behind the bar. You can purchase pints, or a sampler flight which is served on a crescent shaped paddle. The tasting room has just a few small tables, and background music is playing. The yellow walls are decorated with beer themed posters. In one corner is an upright piano, and near the entrance is an extensive vinyl record collection. They do not have a kitchen, so eat first before coming here to hang out. Their beer seems better than average and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. The service is welcoming and gracious. They are happy to offer samples and are proud of their beer. My favorites were their Porter, Saison, and IPA. The brewing vessels are ensconced in the room adjacent to the tasting room. This is a nice place for relaxing with some good craft beer.
