We visited Shmaltz on December 26, 2015 and enjoyed a sampler of five beers. The beer was outstanding and we purchased a twelve bottle variety pack as we were leaving. They poured one sample at a time and rinsed the glass between pours, which is an excellent approach as it enables you to enjoy the beer before the aroma and head dissipates. Some of the beers were huge, high gravity offerings that were exceptional. They had a cask ale available that was positively memorable. I would routinely visit this place if it were not a four hour drive from where we live.
