OK you can't go through this part of Nevada without stopping at the state's oldest thirst parlor. The structure dates from the 1850s and has hosted a good number of celebrities including some presidents, famous actors and actresses, as well as several country music legends. There is a long bar along one side which dates from the early days as well as limited table seating inside and some additional tables out front. Unfortunately, when I visited, the 3 taps offered only one craft brew which was labelled Genoa Bar Amber (brewed by High Sierra in Carson City). There are also quite a few bottles available that include some additional crafts among the imports and BMCs. There is no food service but you can fetch takeout from the general store across the street or other nearby restaurants. There is limited street parking out front and a few spaces on the side street but you'll want to walk around town so any street or lot space you find should be OK.
