updated review.. gave em another chance after a year. All the beers used to give everyone headaches and hangovers. I think they fixed that and the beer is good. that being said it is all the same. The same hop profile in everything and the same malts in everything, just in different ratios. The atmosphere was fine but i was unable to enjoy it because one of the servers blatantly ignored me all night and glared at me. I don't know what that guys problem was but i was not welcome that establishment. I don't like feeling like that and they should reconsider some very poor staffing choices. I doubt i will ever go back.

(I am an easy to satisfy customer and I rarely have bad experiences. The bar tender was drunk and rude, I find it hard to emphasize just how rude he was; the beer was flat, boring, uninspired, and I have some health concerns about it.(It gives me headaches)

I gave them a second chance, and a different beer gave me the same horrible migraine. This could be a cleaning agent in the beer or fermented at too high of a temperature, if I had to take a couple guesses.

In conclusion, I could drink a good beer on a freeway ramp and enjoy it. I couldn't enjoy their beer at their brewery. Maybe it is a fantastic place to drink a beer but I could not see it through the poor quality, poor service, or through the headaches the beer gives me.

Also, to my dismay, they don't even take credit cards!

Having only had GCB in Golden when I lived there, I was intrigued by the new set of breweries in town. These guys have made their niche in Golden and, based on the number of drinkers daily, done well. They had only 3 selections when I was there, and the IPA was my favorite. However, I had to come back the next day to sample the new Ryrish Stout. I liked it a lot, and enjoyed the concept of rye in the stout, but I have a feeling they'll experiment more. And keep up the good work! The atmosphere is great with indoor and outdoor seating and a large gravel pit for corn hole or food truck parking. Dogs are allowed outside and have a dog bowl and get free treats.
