Old Mill Craft Beer is the name of the in-house brewery of the Merry Family Winery. Conveniently located just off the highway, it has a gravel parking lot in front of the brown, wooden three-story farmhouse style building. To the left of the building are grapevines. In front is a scenic little pond with a small recirculating waterfall. Ascend a few stairs to the covered front porch and entrance. The interior is rustic wooden construction with creaking floors and a beam timber ceiling. There are a few tables on the right, and in the center are racks of their house wine for sale. Ahead is the walk-up wine and beer tasting bar, which is topped with slate tiles. On the left are bottles of their varied wines, which can be tried in taster flights. On the right is a red Beer sign over a set a wooden taphandles. They have 6 house brews on tap, which are available by the pint, sampler flight, or growler. The place has a quiet relaxing ambience. No music is playing, and there are no televisions. Out back is a large covered concrete patio area with plenty of tables. To the right is a corrugated steel building which houses their winery and brewhouse. Through windowed doors you can see their short, cylindrical stainless steel fermenting vessels. On the right is equipment for bottling. It's not a huge operation, but they take great pride in their work. The staff is cheerful and helpful. They do not have a kitchen, but they do sell snacks and jars of their preserves. Their beer is not especially great, but the combination of brewery and winery has a nice diversity, so you'll find something enjoyable.
