linkWas in the area so I stopped in for a burger and a few beers. It's an upgrade from the original Kumas space-wise, but it was still packed with people waiting out the door early on a Saturday evening.
It's a little more minimal and industrial decor inside, with a cool black and white mural and a display of metal records high on a shelf. Kung-fu and Apocalypto played on a flatscreen high in the corner... In Apocalypto there's a testicle eating scene that came on while I was ravaging a burger, won't soon forget that.
Draft selection was good, 3 from FFF, Maine MO, 2 Solemn Oath, Greenbush, and a few others were the highlights. About 25-30 beers in bottles, including Off Color Troublesome, which was the perfect foil to a massive slab of ground beef on a bun.
Service was timely at the bar, tender was able to keep up as it became crowded.
I'd return here on a weeknight to avoid the crowd, it's a welcome addition to this busy section of Lakeview, and not far from a few area hotels.
