Blue Ride is a piece of cake to find in Greenville. The place is well laid out with brewing equipment near the door and a long layout with extremely high ceilings.

The food has been hit or miss. At times it has been great, at other times it has been kinda lackluster. The beer tends to follow the same trend with the occasional great offering and then something not worth the time to sample. At the last visit they were almost out of more beers than those which were tapped.

Parking can be a pain and often parking on a back street or deck is better. I've never made this a regular stop due to inconsistent food and beer.

Blue Ridge is currently the only brewpub in Greenville, SC. I used to go here a lot when I lived in Greenville, but hadn't been in over a year since I recently went this past weekend.

The beer selection is good. They usually have 4 constant beers on tap - Colonel Paris Pale Ale, Curli Blonde (a light wheat beer), XXX Total Eclipse Stout, and Rainbow Trout ESB. This time they also had a Marzen and their Ball and Chain IPA on tap also. All of the beers are "good" - not mind blowing, but not bad either. They do sell growlers of all of their beers - $8.50 for a refill and I think $3-4 for the glass (I haven't bought glass in a long time so I don't exactly remember).

The atmosphere is nice and laid back. It's cozy, yet spacious enough. The brewing equipment is located right in the main eating area (in the front glass). There's even a bright tank (or fermenter?) located in the bar.

Service has always been good here. The guy was even nice enough to bring me a couple samples so I could decide what to fill my growler with.

I believe they allow indoor smoking here, but no one was smoking that I noticed this time and I've never been bowled over by the smoke here. I haven't eaten here in a while either, but the food is usually decent to good. The onion rings I got to snack on weren't that good, however.

Overall this is a good place to go when in Greenville. If you visit you definitely need to hit Barley's before or after you won't be disappointed.
