Seventh Son Brewery occupies a re-purposed one-story auto garage. There is a small dedicated parking lot in front. This panoply-style building is surprisingly well suited for a brewery, with an open and inviting atmosphere. On both sides are retractable windowed garage doors that open to the brewhouse and tasting, and allow a great view of everything inside. On the left is a farm of stainless steel fermenters, and on the right are their midsize stainless steel brewing vessels. There is a small space in the center where they perform bottling or canning. There are plenty of kegs everywhere, and they have a few racks of barrel aging beer. On the right is their tasting room. It has several wooden picnic tables and a concrete-topped 15-chair bar. Above the bar are wooden shelves stocked with empty growlers. Behind the bar is a well stocked liquor offering, featuring spirits from local distilleries. In front of the building is a small patio area with picnic tables surrounded by spiral shrubbery. Out back is a larger fence-enclosed brick patio area with numerous picnic tables and a small walk up service bar. Behind the main bar is a private room for special events, and it also has a couple of stainless steel fermenters as the brewery has grown. They have 12 house beers on tap, which are available by glass, sampler flight, or growler. These are bold and flavorful and very well made, and my favorites were Pale Ales, DIPA, and their flagship Seventh Son Strong Ale. They do not have a kitchen, but a food truck is often parked out front. The staff is pleasant and quick with the beer pours. The tasting room has old music playing and has a casual classic ambience, perfect for enjoying their wonderful crafts. I believe this is the best brewery in Columbus, as I was completely impressed with their fantastic offering of craft beer.
