Location is in the alley behind Tennyson. Food tip: pick up empanadas at the end of the alley (next to the theater) and bring them in.

De Steeg has delicious beer. The brewers are very friendly. I asked a minor question about brewing and next thing I know a brewer was happy to give me a tour of their setup. They are very small by most brewery standards, but the quality of beer is very good.

Flavorful and original recipes. They seem to have 8 beers on tap regularly. The imperial pumpkin is a refreshingly low spiced beer (just pumpkin and brown sugar). From a dry hopped belgian, to a very interest house ale. A mild on nitro was a great pair, the stout is big and delicious... just all around good stuff here. I'll certainly be back, regularly.

A quiet little spot in the alley behind Small Batch wine shop (er, well, beer shop).
Technically good brew, could use more flavor. Had the Belgian saison on nitro...while interesting, it was a miss for me. However, the vibe is good and they just added larger doors to the outside. Small two-person operation picking up steam
It seats about 40, and is bigger than it looks from the outside. Hard to find, only a small sign of an old beer chalice hanging over the door
