Buckeye Brewing has two locations. The main brewery and Tapstack tasting room are located in an industrial park, and the Beer Engine taproom is a stand-alone building a few miles away. The main brewery is located in the Waldorf industrial park, a huge multi-story orange brick building. The Tapstack entrance is located around the back of the building where there is space for parking. Look for the tall brick smokestack and walk up a metal ramp to the red entrance door. Inside are a few wooden high top tables and an 18-chair bar constructed from beer barrels with thick lumber on top. The tasting room has a concrete floor, metal ceiling, and brick walls. The walls are nicely painted with a forest and sunset mural and the ceiling looks like the sky. To the left of the bar is a roaring gas fireplace and a refrigerator case with their large format bottles for sale. They have 8 beers on tap, which are available by glass or growler, but unfortunately they do not serve sampler flights yet. The brewery itself is not visible from the tasting room. They do not have a kitchen here, but the bar does sell a few snacks. The place has a friendly atmosphere, with good background music, and the perky bartender kept folks amused. The service was great and the beer is impressive across a range of styles, my favorites being their IPA's. For food and more options, the Beer Engine is your choice, but for a more relaxing an industrial vibe, the Tapstack is enjoyable.
