Full Moon Brewery.....

Well, no.

It's actually the Lost Colony Brewing...butted up against the Full Moon Cafe.

One and the same.

However, since it's on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, there are a few distinct rules that apply.

Well, only one....due to the weather, Lost Colony closes down on December 1st!

So get there before!

Because they are offering up some incredible brews.

Wife Persimmon and I did....mid-November in 2016 on our year-long journey across the good ol' USofA. After a day exploring the lost colony on Roanoke Island, we took a left (instead of a right) and found ourselves in "downtown" Manteo...and the Lost Colony.

At 3:00 in the afternoon, we were the only patrons in the tiny tasting room with Zach, our bartender, clearly saddened by our appearance...since he had just decided to close up for the day when we walked in.

Really glad we did. With a barley wine, a Scot, an Imperial Stout...our dark beer selves were extremely satisfied although Zach was more than ready to head for home after we had imbibed 1.

We let him off the hook, but vowed to return within a year (this time in October for the colors...they were lacking this time around) so we can enjoy whatever dark ales they choose to place in our paths.

The folks long ago in the lost colony may have been forgotten but we have not!
