This place is cool, it's a little mom & pop store with mom & pop literally behind the counter. When I stacked a few Belgians next to the register, the little lady proclaimed "Well look at you!" (to self: mr. fancypants beer, not the usual case of busch I see all day...) The beer aisle is on the far right side of the store, coolers on the right and in the back. Imports come up first, then micros. A guy came out of the stockroom and offered assistance, but not really needed. The selection is interesting, many obscure imports of all kinds. Good selection of micros too, Two Brothers especially, due to the western burbs proximity. Yes some bottles are old, so caveat emptor...Gale's Christmas '01 for example. Prices here are very reasonable, and I find myself here when making a trip to Lunar. Get some Mexican BBQ from Rosticeria los Fernandez next door, and have yourself a little feast over at Lunar :P

Corner Cottage had a reputation of stocking beers that had long passed their drink-by date. No longer -- for about 18 months, the selection has been fantastic, and the deadwood has been pruned. It's where to go when the Binny's/Sam's/Sal's runs no longer work in the burbs. American craft is (comparatively) weak, but imports are fantastic, especially Eastern Europe and Belgian brews. Also English and German brews. You will find things here that you won't find elsewhere. Further, you will find things that shouldn't be in Illinois. Or the U.S., for that matter. If you come out for a Lunar Brewing visit, try Corner Cottage -- you won't be disappointed.

Edit, Jan 2010 -- the U.S. craft brew selection has improved immensely.
