This brewery has a nice location right along the river. I was there at night, so it was tough to tell how good the view was during the day. The brewery is located kind of awkwardly down a flight of stairs. Presumably the patio area can be used on nice warm days.

As for the beer, it wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed. A lot of people seem to rave abotu the blueberry ale, but it's too sweet for my tastes. Food seemed like not much better than standard pub food with a bit of refinement.

This Sea Dog location is located in the old Bowdoin Mill. It is a unique location for a brewbup right on the river and by a waterfall. There are most of the Sea Dog brews on tap here regularly and several cast conditioned ales as well. The bar is very large with plenty of seats and some booths. The restaurant area is wide open with lots of tables and booths. The walls are exposed brick with historic pictures of the mill on the wall. They serve great American style food and the servings are a good size as well. The menu is very close to Federal Jack's in Kennebunkport (both owned by Shipyard). I would recommend the clam chowder and meatloaf dish and wash it down with one of their cast conditioned ales. The fish and chips are good as well. We usually visit in the winter but they do have an outdoor deck in the summer overlooking the river, waterfall, and bridge. It is worth the drive from Portland (our usual home base) if you like their beers and the food at Federal Jack's.
