Visited as a last stop of several Cleveland beer mainstays. Was not excited about the selection - wanted to get a growler filled and had a hard time picking based on the beers available. And, the growler was more expensive than we usually pay for them. Seemed that dark/heavy beer was more prevalent on the menu (it was December so perhaps that is why). Noticed the lighter selections (Saison, Wit, etc) on the menu now (June). Will definitely go back and give it a second try. The food looked amazing (tacos/sandwiches), atmosphere very classy and was extremely busy (in a good way).

A new Cleveland brewery opened in July 2011. Brewmaster is the old brewmaster from DogfishHead. Located in the Ohio City area of Cleveland, across the street from other good beer options - Great Lakes Brewing, Bier Markt and ABC Tavern. Only issue for out of towners is that this area can be a little rough and parking is difficult. There is a lot behind the building, but it fills quickly.

One of the best beer gardens in Cleveland, plenty of seating outside. Also has two separate bar areas - one focused on beer and one focused on their distillery.


Black IPA was very good. Overall, was somewhat disappointed in the IPA, pale ale, wheat and scotch ales. Offering about 10 beers which are rotating.


Food was expensive and menu was a bit sparse. Could be some growing pains because the place is new.
