linkBeing from Seattle (The Pacific NW is considered "Beervana" to all the un-initiated) I knew Colorado's reputation for brewing good beer.
Back "home", Whole Foods is an excellent place with a wide variety of local and national brands (Dogfish, Avery, North Coast, etc.) and the store was always my first choice when I wanted to sample something new and un-available.
Until now that is.
Payless Liquors (at least the one in Parker) leaves Whole Foods selection in the dust.

First, the store is massive, stocked with all manner of liquor, wine and almost 200 feet of cold beer. I said, COLD beer -- I am not including the shelves of un-refrigerated brews...nor am I including the special beers housed in the so-called "Bomber" room. Beers I have never seen exhibited anywhere else.
200 FEET! Oh my!!
If that weren't enough to send you galloping toward the chuck wagon, they also offer a "Build-Your-Own-6pack." For $10, you can stuff a 6-pack container with WONderful brews - and I'm not talking Bud Lite, pardner. Nope. Beers by Dogfish Head, Tommyknocker's, Breckenridge, Uintas, Avery, Stone, you name it. Some of these bottles will sell for $3 - $4 - $5 and up.

So mosey on over - (OK, I'll stop) - if you ever see a Payless Liquor Store, step inside, take a moment, close your eyes and listen to the angels sing!
