I stopped in today while driving through the area with some friends. The entrance is deceptive - it's just a doorway between two other stores, but after walking down a long and narrow hallway the place opens up and actually has a fair bit of space. The servers were really friendly and helpful throughout the visit.

I had the Amber Ale, which was good but nothing spectacular. My friend who had the sampler said all the beers were good with a couple of standouts (in a good way).

I also had a short rib sandwich, which was oddly covered in coleslaw. It tasted good, but the short ribs, which should have been the highlight, were a bit lost on me.

As of this writing (2011), Triumph Brewing has 3 locations, and each has been an enjoyable visit for me. The Princeton location is right across from campus, so it naturally has a college-town feel. Yes, the entrance to the brewpub is rather narrow, and belies the spacious interior. The standard offering line-up is good, such as Bengal Pale Ale (available at all Triumph locations). But I was most impressed by the seasonal offerings that were bold and well-crafted. My top pick was an Abbey Trippel (9.6%), which was delicious. I definitely recommend stopping in a sampler and lunch. Then stroll the beautiful grounds of the campus.

Upon walking up to this unassuming restaurant, you try to figure out where it can possible be, the entrance is very small and nestled between two other stores. Walk down a longish hallway and it opens up in to a big dining room with a large bar.

The beer is excellent and always changing with the season. Food is very good, however we have had some trouble with them running out of certain dishes when we've visited.

Service is decent but nothing outstanding. I haven't stopped at the bar to talk directly to the bartenders but I wouldn't place the servers knowledge and anything more than average. It sits in Princeton's center, and is staffed by college students, mostly.

I still just love going into this brewpub and gladly go whenever it is suggested.
