linkStopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Parking in on the street and in a college town it can be hard to find a spot. Situated in the old Hotel Magee building (miss those Sunday buffets!). Got a sampler and was impressed by the solid beers in the lineup. The kolsch, red ale, and porter were very good and the IPA was pretty decent. I went with a Black and Bleu burger and a pint of porter. The burger was good although slightly overdone but I'm used to places not being able to cook rare burgers properly. A nice place to go and the next time I'm in Bloom, I'll stop in.

Good place to go for a beer and food. They have trivia nights and specials. Atmosphere is family friendly but can get a little too college crowdy for my families tastes. I'm just saying there's a time and place. Theyre right in town so parking is either on the street or in one of several municipal lots. They brew their own beer and the menu is respectable. We've been back because my kids liked the pretzels so much.

The space used to be another bar / restaurant, but there's no signs of it. The entire place has been completely remodeled, including the kitchen, dining room, and bar area.The brewmaster is a young guy named Mark, previously of swashbuckler brewing company in Lancaster, who really knows what he's doing. His ambition and skill are out there for all to see not only with the sheer number of beers on tap, but also in their execution. The Kolsh is extremely drinkable with good flavor, and at 4.9% it packs a punch (comparatively speaking). The Mandarin Wit is a solid Belgian with just a hint of Mandarin orange in the finish. The prices are from $3-5 per pint, and they have growlers to go. The Mug Club is also worth checking out for discounts and whatnot.
Downtown Bloomsburg is a wonderful place to spend an evening, and its new jewel is Marley's Brewing and Grille. come join me at my new favorite place to drink
