I enjoyed the people at this brewery. I met the companion of Dr Marcy, a surgeon at the hopsital, Scouts from Philmont, just neat people.

But I must say the brewery is closed as of 2010. I hate this but it was not in a good location, but great building. When they did not have some of their beers on tap and many guest beers, I felt the end was near. The local population is not large enough to support the brewery, esp. with competition of old old bars downtown. It does not bid well when the brewer does not ackwowledge his poor beer.

Sigh,

Mike

My first trip from Texas to Colorado couldn't have gotten off to a better start than here. Rolled into town late on a Tuesday and they had a kick-ass guitar player jammin'. Everyone knew each other but its Trinidad can't ask for much. Brewmaster took my buddy and me on a tour of the place, super guy. Said he had been perfecting his craft for over 10 years and it showed. Try out the Indian Summer, very tasty indeed. Can't wait to get back up there. Hopefully the tab gets comped again!

En route to the National Homebrewers Conference in Denver, I stopped by TBC for lunch. Housed in an old railroad depot, this is a small place, but loaded with Colorado charm. The bar is small, maybe eight feet long, and is at one end of the building. The restraunt in in the central portion of the building with, perhaps, 20 tables, a a view of the town sign on top of the mountain. It's a gorgeous view! The brick walls are adorned with local art and posters for upcoming bands. TBC looks like a great night spot.

Disappointingly, there were only two beers on the menu: and amber ale and what the server called a Mexican Lager. It was a cloudy lemon colored beer. It tasted good by itself, but a lime squeezed into it made it better. The light lunch, a turkey club, was good, and the service excellent.

While I wouldn't make TBC a destination on a trip, I will stop by if I'm ever in the neighborhood again.
