Very cool location in an old train station, Flossmoor Station of the North, if you will.

MId-week lunch hour was bumrushed, a big group had come in earlier, but our friends valiantly held a booth near the bar for us. Lots of cool framed historical memorabilia, train and football related mostly, with some local history as well.

Service was quick despite the unexpected crowd, and didn't feel rushed. They had over a dozen beers on tap, and I took it upon myself to sample them all. Highlights were Green 19, Schwarz, Alt, and Berliner. Over the years i've tried a few of their beers at festivals and at the Old Fashioned in Madison, a fine institution dedicated to Wisconsin beer.

Food wise, the Noble Pig was an excellent choice, basically a pork overdose on a pretzel bun. The flatbread I tried was a nice lighter option as well. Thanks to Bison for lunch!

I was able to stop by during my latest visit to Green Bay. It was right down the street from the Hyatt, so that was handy.

It is a great old railroad depot that has been transformed into a lively brewpub. It is two levels and lots of space, so you should have no trouble finding a spot. I sat at the upstairs bar, close to the massive original fire place. They have the place decorated with a mix of old Railroad and beer stuff.

Service was prompt and was able to tell us the cask and food specials. They seemed to now the beer menu which is always appreciated. They have 10 or so beers plus two on cask. I had literally the last of the cask one hop ale, it was still fresh and served at a nice clear temp. The rest of the beers were also good representatives of the styles.

The food menu had a pretty wide array of choices. I was happy with my beer cheese soup (served only on Tuesdays), my flat bread entre was pretty standard, not bad but not great.

They were pretty crowded for a Tuesday night, which tells me they are doing something right. This is well worth a stop when visiting Green Bay.

We drove to Green Bay from Milwaukee just to visit this place and we were not disappointed. The building has been around for 110 years and is in a great location. We had the sampler which included 9 beers plus their trademark Sno-Cap Root Beer. The bartender also gave us a cherry wheat sample made with cherries that added tartness to the hoppy finish. All the beers were very good. The owner spent some time talking to us, showing off his nice collection of brewery signs, and explaining some of the history of Green Bay. We also met with Dave Oldenburg, the brewer, who took time out to give us a quick brewery tour and explain their process. The place is no smoking, has plenty of parking, and has a 700 member mug club. If you visit, and like a big crowd, pick a Packers home game.

Titletown got it right!!! Good beer (almost great), great location (an old train station just off lake Michigan, awesome!!!) and the people all add to the experience. If you are in Green Bay, or even close it is a must stop. I really enjoyed the Hopesorous and the Stout. Come for the beer and food (the elk burger ia wonderful) stay for the people. Spoke with several mug club members, all knew their beer and are great to talk to.
