The New Beer Works location on the South Shore... So the first think you should know.. is that (as far as I can tell) they don't brew at this location. I think that the majority of the Beer Works brewing happens off site and they ship it to their various locations thoughout the boston metro area... BUT.... with that said Beer Works (at all their locations) have great beers. Outside of their BIG SELLING BLUEBERRY BEERS COMPLETE WITH FLOATING FRUIT... their beers are really good! The food is ok, but nothing special. It is family friendly and the Shipyard area is a nice place to shop, see a movie, and just walk around.

Hingham Beer Works has about 15 taps of beer that is brewed in-house, ranging from "Minot Light" lager to stouts. Their brews are not very adventurous (no trippels or barleywines, etc) but they have a very good IPA and balanced Pale Ale. There are about 10 permanent selections and about 5 rotating taps which change every month. Get a customer appreciation card and regularly receive $10 off the entire order... you are notified by email when you get money added to the card.
