Beers at this place are wonderful. Their Rauchbock is the best smoke beer I have ever had. They had an outstanding hemp beer when I was there that was brewed using the whole hemp plant. The hemp used is selected for fiber so “expect no other effects from the beer other than flavor.” The hemp beer had a very floral aroma profile like what you would get with a lot of late addition hops and the bitterness was similar to that of the IPA. The other beers are equally good. They have a tree covered patio with long tables and benches in the beer garden style. Inside you can see the beautiful copper brewery behind the bar and the walls have a lot of beer paraphernalia. Get there early as the place is packed by 5:00 PM and service gets a little slow as the evening wears on even though the wait staff is literally running. The food is excellent featuring all the classic German-Austrian dishes. They also have a complete menu of schnapps and offer growler fills to go. My wife and I were in Vienna for 5 days and we ate and drank at this brewpub every night. I still think of this place when I think of my idea of the perfect brewpub.
