On a Saturday in February 2012, wife Persimmon and I ventured back to Mother Earth Brewing to re-acquaint ourselves with their fine beers...beers we had tasted only a week before but these are incredibly good beers!

We met a young couple there and, during the course of our discussion, they asked if we had been to Iron Fist Brewing.
"It's just down the road." They said they were going and that they'd "see us there."

We thought it would be rude to turn down such an invite so we finished our brews and headed down CA-78 another 3 miles to Iron Fist.

Sitting on a little knoll in the middle of a non-descript industrial park & residential area, Iron Fist is a brewery / tasting room...you are in fact, tasting the beer in the brewery.

A full selection of beer with wide variety, bowls of pretzels on moving beer barrels...(watch out or you could send your favorite brew into the the blond's lap across the way!)...the place was packed for a late Saturday afternoon.

Apparently some folks have discovered Iron Fist and its product...and rightfully so. Although we found some beers not to are taste, of the 9...we enjoyed 6 and we're absolutely crazy for a coupla; Martial Law, a deep, dark 9% stout with flavors of raisin and toffee - Uprising with notes of apple, plum and spice and Golden Age, a Belgian reeking of bananas and rum.

The price for the sampler is outrageously inexpensive and the people here...(although our Mother Earth "friends" were no were to be found)....were more than gracious and friendly. One gentlemen at the "bar" asked if we had tasted the Hired Hand. When we answered 'no', he pushed the glass across and insisted we do.

We did. It would have been rude to turn him down now wouldn't it?

I can see the below reviews as 93 & 100. While it's hard for me to rate anything at 100%...after all, that means there is no room for improvement...Iron Fist comes pretty damn close!

I'm not crazy about their Iron Fist logo on the bottle...I grew up in the Communist-crazed America of 1950...I have no complaints with what's inside those brown bottles.

You won't either. Pick one up at your earliest or better yet...take a Saturday moment and stop by. You'll be among friends.

I just might offer you a taste of mine!

Went there on a Sunday afternoon with my wife. This place is in a industrial area...but they had beer tasting signs set up, directing you to the tasting room. The place is set up nice in a small brewery. They have about 8-10 taps with a big board above listing the selection. You can tell this place is pretty new as everything still looks very clean. They have a special where you can try 4 tastings of your choice in a flight for $5. The bartender served me the four that I asked for and gave me the list in which I ordered...they give you a paddle to carry all of your tasters away from the bar. They have several small tables with stools to enjoy the beer. At each table they had mini pretzyls in a bowl for you to enjoy with your beer. The four that I tasted were: Golden Age, Dubbel Fisted, The Gauntlet, and The Resistance. I was very impressed with each of the four, but the standouts for me were Dubbel Fisted and Golden Age.

Definitley worth checking out. Great to see Iron Fist at my Local Total Wine!

Iron Fist brewing Co. was outstanding. we will start from the beginning. there is a very decent amount of parking, even enough to hold a limo. when you walk in there are tables and bar stools. the bar is very nice. they also have tvs for you to watch the game. they only had 6 beers on tap but they all were supreme! the staff was super knowledge and very friendly. overall this was an awesome brewery and i will be going back for sure

Up-and-comers Iron Fist Brewing Company are a local brewery/tasting room located in Vista, CA. The family owned company is quick to respond to new guests with excellent service (even when bottling is full-swing in back). Clean, friendly environment makes each guest feel welcome. All of this is just a compliment to the delicious beers. With a current selection of 7 beers on tap, there is something for everyone with the lighter (but full flavored) Renegade Blonde to the dark, rich Velvet Glove. The mainstay Dubbel Fisted is my personal favorite and definitely a crowd-pleaser. Two more varieties are said to be coming in the next few months, not bad for a family-owned newcomer to the San Diego craft beer scene.
