I have been to Summit several times, all were for unusual circumstances, so I can't be entirely sure what a normal tour would be like. The first time was for a Homebrew Club outing/personal tour with one of the brewers. That was a fantastic experience, including time at the tasting room, tour and ordered-in pizza. The second was during the award ceremony and banquet for the Upper Mississippi Mash Out, again with tap-time.

The Brewery is very pretty, and modern, with huge copper mash-tuns to take pics with! The tasting room is very spacious with long picnic-type tables for seating. They usually have a 5-6 beers on tap--you must get the Oatmeal Stout on Nitro! These beers are as fresh and good as Summit is going to get. They also have a shop, but that has been closed every time I've been there.
