Great location in renovated warehouse in downtown Springfield. 6 beers on tap. Unfiltered Wheat, Munich Lager and Pale Ale are constants. Black Sheep is a rotating dark selection of Stouts, Porters and assorted dark ales and lagers. Seasonal rotates a Hefe, Kolsch, Marzen and Dopplebock.
The beer here for us was good. I was looking for a Marzen since it was November and they were out already. We got a sampler and they were ok. We are not into hoppy, too citrusy or heavy stouts and porters.
They didn't have a good brown at the time either. I would stop back if in the neighborhood to see what's new. It is really a neat building. Very clean. Friendly staff. Nice souveniers; glasses, hats and shirts. They even gave me a couple of placemats to get framed for my son-in-laws bar since he shares the Mueller name.

Cool bld downtown. Large space, well lit center walk around bar and brew works straight back, shiny ?10bbl system. Exposed brick and woods. Has an upstairs bar/game room area as well. Full bar with a nice selection of premium liquors. Great service, very friendly. I had a meditarainian pizza that was very good.
Kolsh, light crisp with malt notes. Very refreshing.
Lager, clear yellow, light head, very light finish in the american light beer range, nondiscript, but very marketable and drinkable.
Unfiltered Wheat, cloudy light pale yellow, slight lemon note on the finish, none of the traditional wheaty flavors, I'm turned off by, so I give it an okay.
Pale ale, light amber, malty with a medium hop bite and floral finish. Not as hoppy as a Sierra Nevada, but its lighter cousin.
Red IPA, red/amber hue, good head, hoppy aroma, very nice malt/hop balance with great hoppy finish.
Mudhouse stout, dark thick beer with light tan head, definate strong coffee bean aroma and taste. Pretty much an expresso beer. Not bad, but I couldn't see drinking a pint of it.

We stopped by just after the lunch hour. Service was excellent. We had the Jambalaya Fettuccine which was great, and the cheese and ale soup and a salad, they were ok but nothing special. The beers on tap were the Unfiltered Wheat, Pale Ale, Munich Lager, Black Sheep Stout, Kolsch (seasonal), and the brewmaster special (canβt remember what that was). I especially enjoyed the lager. They also brew their own Root Beer. They have evening entertainment on a regular basis, a banquet room, and a game room. Overall experience was excellent and I canβt wait to go back next time Iβm in the area.

Brewmaster Special is always something diffenent and usually quite good.
The beer here is excellent. Food is good but inconsistent. The brewery is actually owned by Paul Mueller company which is a tank and equipment manufacturer. The business is a working showroom for their brewing system.
