This is my local brewery and Reno’s Flagship Brewery. 25 years strong at the Sparks location, and another location in Reno since 2010. They have some iconic beers such as Ickthyosaur “ICKY” IPA, Wildhorse Altbier, Nevada Gold, and the 3 Time GABF Gold medal winner (and retired from competition) Cervesa Chilibeso. They have a beer for every palate. They usually have about 20 beers on tap and the food is delicious. Home of the best Fish and Chips in Northern Nevada, as well as Artisan breads made from spent grains, the food never disappoints. The Reno location has a wood fired pizza oven. The owner is super friendly and a plethora of brewing knowledge and history, while the staff is top notch and loyal as well as friendly. This is the must stop brewery in all of Northern Nevada and should be number 1 on your list if you are in the area. Bring a growler to fill and take home, you wont be disappointed. The have all the brewery swag you could want. Tell Tom and Bonda Young, the owners that i sent you. Come for the buffet on Sunday and help Tom root for the Cleveland Browns. Find them at the GABF every year! They participate in the Ales for ALS and many other charities and you can find their beers at all the local events and some of the ski areas. Dont forget to visit on Tightwad Tuesday where most pints are just $3.50, just tell the bartender “Give me an ICKY.”
