Wow, what a place for beer in LA. It's in the city of Alhambra which looks very pretty, although I only drove through it. There is parking behind the restaurant, but there isn't much available. There is a parking garage on the opposite corner which should provide some parking if that back lot is full. I showed up around rush hour and the lot was full but there was plenty of parking in the garage. The bar was a little crowded but that's because of a women's world cup game. Once that was over it emptied out a bit.

The place has an array of tables and some booths scattered around. The bar is long with an L shape, although the "bottom" of the L only has a couple chairs. Above the bar is a line of TVs, which when I was there were switching between sports. In the dining areas there are some more TVs available.

The staff was very friendly, and they seemed to have a lot of customers that they knew by name. Not sure if that's part of what they try to do to be welcoming or if it just happened that when I was there some friends were visiting.

The draft list is spectacular, and a long bottle list to back it up. Most of it as local to CA, I'd say 90% of the taps and 70% of the bottles. The lists, and the food menus, are on an iPad that you can scroll through, and if you tap on the beer it gives you some more information including a description, the style, and some stats like %ABV. There is a variety of food and it all looked pretty good.

I had a few beers along with dinner and I hated that I had to leave. Not sure I'll ever make it back to this place, which is almost saddening. It's one of the top beer places I've ever visited. If you're east of LA it's one of the must-visit places, whether you're staying nearby, or it's along the way in or out of town.
