Coalition Brewing is rather small, but is welcoming and pub-like with a great neighborhood feeling. It’s a cinder block building with a couple of picnic tables on one side and a few metal tables and chairs on the sidewalk. The front is almost entirely a glass garage door that opens in good weather. Inside there are five wooden tables with classic heavy wooden chairs. There is also a small bar with five tall chairs, and one tall, long table with stools. The walls are unadorned cinder block by the front, but the rest are modern dark wood wainscoting and cool light brown walls adorned with innovative photographs of beer and brewing subjects. The tall ceiling is corrugated steel with steel beams and dark brown metal hanging light fixtures. Overall, the feeling is welcoming, modern, and functional.

There are eight house-made craft beers on tap and somewhat more inspired than a more run-of-the-mill brewpub. The Two Dogs IPA we tried was quite nice.

Food is available but we didn’t try anything or see a menu. Parking is on the street.
