Goodnight Irene's is a three story building with red awnings along the sidewalk. Although named "brew pub" with good intention, Irene's does not produce its own beer. Instead they have focused on offering a well-chosen variety of 38 beers on tap, mostly regional with a few imports, and I must say that I was very impressed. (A quarter of their beers were >9% abv!) The tap list consists of big, flavorful, new and seasonal beers, and I was pleasantly surprised to acquire several new beers from among their selection. You can create your own sampler from among the beers on tap (a wonderful option I think all craft brew bars should adopt). Irene's is a mid-size pub with both table and booth seating, and a 25-stool bar. The place is decorated with beer signs and a tap handle collection. There are plenty of TV's, and they do good business during the summer season. During peak hours, they open their enclosed brick patio which has several wooden picnic tables and a walk up bar. They have a decent menu of sandwiches and brick oven pizza. Street parking is metered, but is free in winter. Good place for beach vacationers to find great beer options.
