linkI was recommended this place while here on travel and checked it out for dinner. Its located in the middle of winding suburban streets and was a little tough to find -- although it's visible once you're right on top of it.
It has a dark wood interior and was a little formal for my tastes but managed to not come off all that pretentious. I sat down at the bar and was presented with a fairly think leather bound drink menu. A few pages worth of beers, but mixed drinks and wines too. They had about 10 beers on draft (all craft brews) and probably another 50-75 in bottles. I had a few great IPAs (High Seas and...I forget the others) a sandwich and "duck fat cooked, hand cut fries" (definitely worth the extra 2 bucks!).
I was only there for about an hour but the bar was starting to turn from "professionals having a quick drink after work" to "young professionals getting really loud and yelling about their upcoming promotions". The DC crowd kind of rubs me the wrong way but there really wasn't anything objectionable about the atmosphere.
All in all a good spot for good beer and equally good food. I don't think I could really get comfortable enough to be a regular though.
***EDIT***
Went back again -- this time around 6pm and enjoyed the atmosphere much more. They were offering free app tastings and everyone was much more chill.
