Visited here a couple of years ago as part of a trip to Toronto. A nice but very straight forward basic pub in the downtown area. I think it had just recently opened because it didn’t seem to have any real atmosphere to make it stand out from any other place. I tried the Number 3 German Pilsner, which was a pretty good beer. Didn’t try the food but it looked like they had a pretty decent looking menu.

I stopped by Duggan's for only one beer, so my review will be somewhat limited. Duggan's had a large seating area divided into two dining rooms and what looked like a downstairs 'party room'. The decor was upscale, almost like a lounge feel even though there were clear walls that allowed you to look on their brewing tanks.

The defining aspect to give you an idea of what kind of scene it was: there were no TVs. I was looking to watch the Maple Leafs game, so I only stayed for one beer and moved on.

I had the Ontario Ale, which wasn't listed on the menu (but I believe it took the place of #4 or 5). It was an interesting beer because you could really taste the grain in the beer. Seems like an obvious statement, but it was really pronounced and a distinct grain taste to the beer.

There were other beers that looked interesting, but I was on a mission to see hockey and the place was pretty quiet on a Monday night. My beer was $5.65 and the food prices seemed a little on the more expensive side, but the prices weren't obnoxious.
