Skytop Steakhouse and Brewing is located on a peak above downtown Kingston, serves steak, but is most definitely no longer a brewery. The bartender told me that they stopped making their own beer "a couple of years ago", but for whatever reason they've neglected to change the sign out front that reads "brewery".

We showed up in the mid afternoon hours on a Saturday. The place was totally empty, and we just got a couple beers and sat on the back patio with a view from the overlook (they could do to trim back some of the bushes and trees so you could actually enjoy the view).

Overall, this is an upscale restaurant, with a decent beer selection. I didn't try the food, though, so I can't comment on that.

This is an upscale restaurant with an appropriately (high) priced menu.

While the fresh brewed craft beers are normally the attraction at a brew pub, here the main attraction is the food; and the view.

Set atop a cliff overlooking the city of Kingston, this restaurant offers spectacular views from the dinning room. The high ceilings and modern decor make for a very pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately this is about where the good part ends.

The beers, while all ok, are not really worth going out of your way for. And the last two times I was there, the food did not meet our expectations. And for the price we paid, it was an overall disappointment.

We've been here several times, and at first we really liked it, but it seems to have gone downhill as of late.
