Manhatten Beach Brewing company is the name of this brewery. Good luck parking! Long building but narrow with serving tanks right behind the bar and I mean right behind the bar. A few tables up front and a long row of booths going to the back. Lots of tv's Beach Blonde ale. Light straw color with light malt aroma with some moderate malt graininess on first impression. Some slight creaminess in the mouthfeel and lite hop bitterness. Hefe has little aroma. This beer is malty with no banana or clove, has a somewhat creamy mouthfeel and also has a somewhat spicey but not hoppy flavor. Not a traditional hefe but a good beer. Rat Beach Red Ale has some crystal malt aroma and taste with some moderate hop bitterness, medium mouthfeel with some slight astringency from the hops. Ipa has some moderate hop aroma with lite crystal malt notes, has some nice hop flavor but more in line with a pale ale in my opinion, or a mix between an ipa and a pale ale. A clean beer and a good beer but not a Northwest kind of ipa. Raspberry Porter has a big chocolate malt aroma and lite fruitiness. Raspberry is lite but wouldn't you expect it
to be in a porter? Brown color and cloudy probably from the fruit. I did not try the food here. No coasters or pint glasses for sale for the collector. This brewery is owned by the same people who own Redondo Beach Brewing Company and the breweries are almost identical. They are kind of cool to visit but don't go out of your way unless you are on a mission to visit as many breweries as possible before your shelf life expires.
