Visited on a snowy evening while on a business trip. Central bar divides the room with the 2 copper vessels prominently on display in the back. The bartender was nice enough to let me tour the brewery, a very nice 2 vessel system. Only one other group was seated and a few at the bar, hopefully this was because of the weather because the beer was very good. The Pecan Brown Ale is very tasty, so much so I didn't try any of the others. However I heard no complaints from my companions. Fish and Chips for dinner arrived with nice portions and very hot. A worthwhile destination if you are in the area. If you are nearby you are a lucky beer drinker.

Nice place, brand new brewery (April 2010) in a nicely redone old building. Located on a corner there is ample parking (I was there on a Monday night) and a good sized patio on one side. The bar sits in the center of the space with a nice oak & copper bar top. Brew works are in the back along with the kitchen. Good prices and food, well worth getting out of the hotel for! On a whim I had the corned beef & cabbage and was not disappointed.

St. Louis Pale Ale - light golden, Hoppy! American pale. Strong start & finish.
Munich Dunkel - NICE, much like a light Oktoberfest. Med brown, light head, cloudy complexion. Very well balanced and drinkable.
Pecan Brown Ale - dark brown, but clear, a tad toned down for me. Not quite as flavorful as a Sam Smith's Nut Brown or New Castle Brown, but well balanced.
IPA – I was a tad let down. After the hop punch of the St Louis Pale I was expecting a tongue twisting explosion of hoppy goodness. Reminded me of an English Ale with a bit of a bite.

All in all a good stop & a do-over in my opinion. I settled for a Pink of the Dunkel!

I stopped in at Hill Brewing Company yesterday afternoon. There were four of us so we ordered two samplers. The flights are four beers for $5.75 but the samples are 6.5 ounces. They have 10 beers on tap so we passed on the Classic American Pilsner and Pilsner Light for our samplers. Later the beer tender did give us smaller sample glasses of both of those beers. All the beers were good; I’ll pass on the pilsner and light in the future, they’re equal to a bud or bud light. Their best selling beer and best tasting of the bunch is the Pecan Ale, an English nut brown made with dry roasted pecans. They have a pretty good looking menu. We didn’t order anything since we had eaten lunch earlier. The local newspaper and magazines all rate the food as good. There is plenty of seating at the bar and several tables in the no-smoking restaurant. There are a few tables outside. There’s plenty of parking on the side and in back.
