Really nice location right on the river. Huge dining room area.

Sea Dog always has a huge selection of fruit flavored beers, including their most famous Maine blueberry.

Huge menu with a strong seafood list. Had blackened cod. Not an affecianado, but I enjoyed it.

Tried the IPA - not a bad example, but not a super hoppy one either.

Pumpkin - decent example, not my favorite, but pretty good.

Stout - really enjoyed this dry stout.

Really nice dining area. Definitely a good place to watch a game with TVs all over the place.

Seadog is an open and quite spacious restaurant and brewery in Bangor, Me along the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor. It is one of the more "classier" places in town, as one local person put it, "where the pretty people go".

It has an eclectic crowd of people, mostly in the mid 20s to mid 40s. Generally quite friendly.

The SD has a nice patio which is open in the summer and fall. A portion of the patio is closed off for those who wish to smoke.

The beverage selection is decent, with a good selection of ales and a few porters. They also have some seasoned brews which SD hosts at particular times of the year. Pumpkin flavored during the fall, ect...

They have a semblance of live music and some Karaoke. The best entertainment, IMHO, is during the summer and fall, during which time people watching is at a premium.

In all, pretty good brew - the mixed beverages leave a bit to be desired and at times the bar-staff seem a little less than eager to "take care of those who take care of them", if you get my meaning - nice eye-candy during the right time of year, and good food.
