I agree with the other reviews listed below. This branch definitely has a 'newer' feel (mainly because it is new, duh). The inside of the space was much bigger than I anticipated from the outside. Most of the tables were big, made for many people, as opposed to smaller two person tables. There was even a second level with tables.

They had a full beer menu like the other locations and the waitress offered to help recommend beer selections which was nice.

Food was pretty good. I had the fish sandwich which was fine. Not over the top good, but the food quality was upscale for bar food.

I also (like emerge077) just had the Bacon Jam burger. It is not to be missed!

Overall, I like the feel of Small Bar Fullerton. It is more open and spacious than the other Small Bar's. There are some huge tv's here and I think it's cool that they have two big booths in the front window, both with their own large flat panel. If you have a good sized group, and you get lucky enough to get one of these booths, they will set the tv on the channel of your choosing.

The beer selection reminds me of the Small Bar Division selection. Similar in number of taps and selection. So it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

The food so far in my experience is well worth the trip. Similar in pricing to other Chicago area restaurants (places with burgers/sandwiches and pub food). And the quality of ingredients is right up there with the best of these types of places.

Keep an eye out on their website for upcoming events and specials. Parking is street parking, Fullerton is metered and some side streets have special permit only times (be careful). About half a mile from the Fullerton Red Line and easy access from the Fullerton bus. They have a nice covered patio here for good weather days.

Brand new 3rd outpost of the well known SmallBar franchise. This one is bigger than the other two, in contrast to it's namesake. From the street it looks small I suppose...

Inside, it has lofty ceilings, tables down the center, booths to the left, and a long bar to the right. Lots of brown tones, exposed brick, mixed with salvaged stained glass and lanterns. The long back bar was massive with some intricate detailing, and a large inset mirror. Two small shelves on either side served as a perch for their top shelf Bourbon and Scotch respectively. In the center, 21 taps lined a chrome bar, with one free standing head that had 3 Belgians running on it. Mostly US craft taps, with a few choice imports like Weihenstephaner, Optimator, London Pride, Kwak, La Trappe Isidor, and Cuvee de Jacobins Rouge. Bottle list was extensive and well rounded, it's listed on beermenus.

The place was empty at lunch, but tomorrow's the grand opening (2/26), so i'm sure the buzz will generate a steady crowd. Service was quick, the bartender talked beer for a bit, and let me sample the Rouge before committing to a glass.

Bacon jam burger...it was awesome! Brie, grilled onions, and bacon in spreadable form. The burger was juicy, and the lightly toasted brioche bun held together. Around Kuma's prices at $11, plus a beer, lunch was about $20. Still it's a high quality establishment, and there are cheaper options on the menu. Overall I was impressed and hope to go back soon.
