linkWalked in and noticed the bizarre salmon pink tile flooring. Binny's "Wall-O-Beer"Β© to the right as you walk in. A 20-30yr old beer guy was helpful when I asked about a beer I was looking for. The majority of the beer was along the wall, starting with US craft, moving into Belgian, UK, German, and Eastern Euro at the end. There were some helpful shelf tags along the way, and a tiny bit of dust here and there. Noticeably absent here were traditional Lambics of any kind, not even Cantillon Gueuze. There were obscure German beers here in spades though. Plank, Passauer, Weltenburger, Hacker Pschorr Anno 1517, etc.
Checkout girl was sweet and friendly. Not sure i'd seek it out unless I knew they had past seasonals sold out elsewhere. Sadly after drinking a couple things I bought here, they were noticeably old (Southern Tier Γber Sun & Hacker Pschorr Anno 1417 from last year). Thanks to orbitalr0x's BA review, years ago I was able to find out of season BCS here!

This place is now my local go-to place for beer and I can't really say many negative things about it. Is it on par with West Lakeview and Armanetti's and other city must-stops as far as selection and turnover? No, but find me a beer store in the NW burbs that is. I definitely pay attention to bottle dates and dust but I do that anywhere I shop.As far as selection goes, they seem to get a fairly good amount of "special releases". Last night they had O'Fallon Whiskey Barrel Smoked Porter and the newly bottled 3 Floyd's Admiral Nelson. They also had plenty of Hopslam and even some Expedition Stout.
Service here has always been prompt and polite and they've been more than willing to check when they may receive a certain beer, which is really all I'm looking for. The cashiers have even made comments about how I "know about the good stuff" when I've been in line behind someone buying a case of Natty Light, for example.
It's also in the strip mall at Golf and Elmhurst so there is always plenty of free parking, which is nice.
