Sort of out in the middle of nowhere. South Riding is an area within/adjacent to Chantilly, VA. Just south of the airport, but nowhere near public transportation, being out in the outer suburbs. This is the sibling bar to the brewpub in Leesburg, which has been around for a while. The location used to be a Firkin and Hound.

The interior is very chic and modern, with black furniture and red cloth. There is a room in the middle that has a very large pull-down projection screen. The bar has some TVs, along with some tables along the wall. There are some large banners around the center room that act as a pseudo-wall.

I had heard that 51 would carry beers from 50, but I haven't seen them on the menu. Either they aren't going to do it, or they haven't done it yet. Either way, still a great selection of beers, both on draft and in the bottle. Nothing rare though. Most of these beers you'll find at any other beer-oriented bar.

The food is pretty good, well above bar food, up there with fancy restaurant food, but nothing five-star (and not at five-star prices, either).

Good attentive service. No complains from me.

I wish this place was closer. I'm a fan of both locations, but they are both a good ways out. This place is definitely closer to me than Leesburg (I live in Fairfax), so I'll have to try to catch a game on the bigscreen. Recommended.
