Been there twice in the last 15 years, and each time things change, (for the better)
Okay, let's start with the selection..at first there was just the regular local beers for which I was looking for, but, eventually turned into a more eclectic range of choices. Obviously, I do not need to go for the American styles, I have come for the original European style.
Atmosphere….well, if I were a snob I would say that the place needs a decorator…However, coming from the "new world" I expect bars and establishments in Europe not to be so "nose in the air". I love the old atmosphere and history of walking into a bar, or building that has been there for 300 years.
The service was incredible… the person at our table was always checking to make sure that we had what we needed,as water, and drinks.
No need to worry on the bad comments…You will survive..for many more years..

From the owner of 't Arendesnest (qv) comes the first bar in Amsterdam specialising in American craft beer. Draught selections from Flying Dog, Anchor, Great Divide and Left Hand form the core of the range, but the bottled selection is extensive, incorporating many of the imports which are also sold in De Bier Koning and The Cracked Kettle (qvs) nearby.

A few local and Belgian beers are thrown in for good measure, including an excellent hoppy house beer made especially for BeerTemple.

Alongside 't Arendsnest and Wildeman, there's a new star in the firmament of the Dutch capital's beer scene.
